Working at Bidhan

Walk in 3–5 PM

Bidhan hires in person, not online. There are four kinds of role — halwai, kitchen assistant, counter and packing, and dining service — across the Sunabeda and Semiliguda outlets. Walk in to either outlet between 3:00 and 5:00 PM on any day and ask for the manager. There is no application fee, ever.

The four roles

Halwai / sweet maker

Full time · Sunabeda kitchen

Setting chhena, working the kadhai line, roasting and finishing sweets from 4:00 AM.

What we look for

  • Experience with chhena and khoya work
  • Willing to start before dawn
  • Careful with weights and syrup

Kitchen assistant

Full time · both outlets

Prep, frying khara, wash-down and keeping the stations stocked through the day.

What we look for

  • No experience needed
  • Clean and quick
  • Reliable on timing

Counter and packing

Full time · both outlets

Serving at the sweets counter, weighing, packing boxes and handling the evening rush.

What we look for

  • Comfortable with Odia, Hindi and basic English
  • Good with a weighing scale
  • Patient in a queue

Dining service

Full time · Semiliguda

Table service in the air-conditioned dining room, from meals through to close at 10:00 PM.

  • Evening availability
  • Comfortable taking orders at a table
